Hotels on Facebook

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts
Sheraton
posts once weekly and has content in which speaks about the types of events
that they hold within their hotels, their different locations, promotions, and
also what they do for those whom are traveling. They do not use the 50/50 rule
because they only have content about themselves and not the hotel industry. They
often mention to redeem
free rewards through social media and their membership benefits if you sign up with
their SPG membership card. One of their most successful posts is a video
showing how they surprise travellers with random acts of kindness and I think it
was successful because it shows how dedicated they are by offering their
services outside of their hotels. Another successful post is an announcement
for Sheraton Grand where they uploaded pictures of the new properties around
the world and I think this was successful because of the attractiveness in the
pictures.

Best
Western posts once or twice a day and has content about winning goods and
travel tips. They use the 50/50 rule since they post about themselves and the
hotel industry by including vacation and travel ideas. They have weekly
contests to win their travel card and motivational advice every Monday. One of
their most successful posts is called My Wherever Destination, I think this is
successful because they make it about you by asking you to select a location in
which you desire to go and share it with your friends for a chance to win one
free night at their hotel. Another post in which they are successful with is
called Travel Trivia Tuesday, I think this is successful because they post a
picture every Tuesday, give a hint then ask everyone to guess where the picture
was taken for a chance to win a $100 travel card.
